The Kassenheld Console: The Central Administration Portal

The Kassenheld Console is the web-based backend (administration portal) of your POS system. It serves as a central location for managing, configuring and analysing all key business data and -processes, regardless of the POS device.

You can open the Console at: https://console.kassenheld.de/de/dashboard

The Console's key functions and areas are explained in detail below:

1. Dashboard 📊

The dashboard is your central control centre and the first view you see after logging in. It provides a comprehensive overview of your company’s key KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). At a glance, you receive a broad overview and up-to-date information on your sales figures, revenue and other critical metrics.

2. Products and Categories 🛒

This area is essential for maintaining your product range, as it stores item data for all POS systems:

  • Products: You can create new products for your POS, edit existing products (e.g. price, tax rate, description) and delete items you no longer need.
  • Categories (product groups): Here, you manage the parent groups (e.g. "Soft Drinks", "Main Courses"). You can create new categories, edit or delete existing ones, and then assign your products to the relevant categories.

3. Reports 📈

The Reports section provides in-depth insights into your sales performance:

  • Here, you will find everything related to sales and detailed statistics.
  • Employee performance: You can see exactly how much each employee sells (sales performance).
  • Product analyses: Identify which products sell the best or worst to optimise your product range.

4. Contacts 👤

The Contacts section is used to manage people and organisations you work with:

  • You can create new contacts here.
  • These include, for example, your suppliers (for an overview) or your employees (to manage access details and permissions).

5. Calendar 📅

The calendar feature helps you organise and plan:

  • You can create and manage employee calendars to organise shift schedules or absences.
  • You can also add important appointments or events for yourself or the company.

6. Devices 📱

This area provides an overview of the entire hardware infrastructure connected to your POS system:

  • You can see all systems and devices that communicate with your POS software.
  • These include, for example, mobile POS systems, stationary terminals or connected printers.

7. Locations (Branches & Warehouses) 📍

If your company expands or manages multiple physical locations, use this area:

  • You can set up and manage other branches of your company.
  • Warehouse locations (for inventory management) can also be defined and configured here.

8. Company Settings (Configuration) ⚙️

Use this option to make extensive configuration changes for your entire company:

  • Click your company name in the top left corner.
  • Select "Company Settings".
  • Here, you can enter various basic company details, such as address information and tax details, and upload the company logo (as already mentioned in the guide).
