End-of-Day Close
How do I perform the end-of-day close (daily close)?
The end-of-day close is necessary to post your daily revenue, reconcile the cash register, and properly close the business day in compliance with GoBD requirements.
Step-by-step instructions
- Start the close:
- On your POS, open the "POS" (Point of Sale) section.
- Click "New Receipt" in the top right-hand corner.
- Select "Daily Close" from the menu.
- Resolve open invoices:
- A menu will open to guide you through the process. In the first step, you must decide what should happen to still open invoices from the day (e.g. cancel them, mark them as paid in cash, or carry them over to the next business day).
- Select the report type:
- Choose whether you want to create an interim report (e.g. when changing shifts or for an interim check) or the final close for the day (the end-of-day report).
- Count cash (cash count):
- If you have cash in the register, perform the cash count.
- The system will show you the "Expected Cash" (the amount that should be in the register according to the invoices entered).
- Select the number of banknotes in the menu. You can find the amount in the menu under "Cash Counted".
- The system will immediately show you the difference if there is a discrepancy.
- Complete and print the settlement:
- Click the "Close and Create Settlement" button.
- A final menu will open where you can issue the receipt. Click "Print" to print the final end-of-day close receipt.
The business day is now closed, and the cash register has been reset to zero.
